Retail Meat New Zealand (RMNZ) represents the interests and views of butchers, supermarket meat departments, smallgoods manufacturers, wholesalers and local meat processors involved in the retail meat sector.  

RMNZ has an important part to play in providing leadership to the retail meat industry in the development and implementation of policy and services that benefits its members.

Publishes regular newsletter circulars containing up-to-date news and information on the retail meat trade.
Advises on employment relations and industrial issues including the Employment Relations Act, Holidays Act and the Health and Safety Act.  RMNZ members also have access to the New Zealand Retailers Association’s legal and professional services.

RMNZ Events
Members receive substantial discounts to all RMNZ events, including the Annual Retail Meat Industry Conference and the National Sausage Competition.
The Retail Meat Industry Conference is an integral part of the retail meat calendar. It provides delegates throughout New Zealand with information affecting the retail meat industry and provides an ideal opportunity to network with your peers and suppliers to the industry.
The New Zealand Sausage Competition is held in October and encourages butchers and manufacturers to send their prized sausages to compete for national honours.
